Mistakes New Spray Tanners Make- Learn To Spray Tan With Tanzola
When first starting to spray tan & using your spray tan machine, these are most common mistakes we see technicians make
1. Applying too much solution onto the hands
A lot of new spray tanners assume that the same level of pressure applied on there gun to spray the total body, should be the same applied to the hands of a client. In the long and short of it, that's completely incorrect. Our recommended spray tan machine, makes it very easy to reduce the amount of solution sprayed on the hands by simply adjusting the numbers on the gun head. Essentially, the mist and spray should be a lot finer and lighter on this area. That way it's not contrasting on the skin.
2. Too much "build up/excess tan" in key areas
A common mistake is excess spray tan in "start/stop" area's. These traditionally are wrists, ankles & the backs on knees. Working with our new tanners, we always suggest, trying to think about stopping sooner/higher to avoid build up spots with excessive tan.
3. Not consulting the client correctly
An inexperienced tanner can fall short in their consulting of a client. We always say, ensure the client understands the total process of tanning so they can be part of the process. Ensuring that you've selected the Fitzpatrick grading and undertone, discussed pre/post skin & tan treatment, learnt about their event and lifestyle are all key determinators of a great spray tan & a knowledgeable spray tanner
