What's The Difference? 

We've all seen the friends episode, where Ross takes himself for a booth spray tan which ends terribly for him. Is this still the reputation of Booth Tans? 

We're here to share the differences between the two styles

Custom Spray Tans, are usually sprayed using a gun and compressor machine with wattage starting at 1000 watts. The machine is controlled and guided by a spray tan artist. The spray tan artist needs to pour the chosen solution into the gun. 

Spray tans applied by hand, by a spray tan artist, is done in a sweeping up and down or side to side motion. The artist needs to move to control the gun coverage and the pressure of solution moving through the gun. 

Given these machines are hand movable and solution coverage can be controlled, efficiency of coverage and consistency is extremely high. Its more common to also receive this service in the comfort of your home, given these machines are more compact. 

Booth Spray Tans are innovation at there finest. A machine that allows you to get a spray tan without anyone present is highly impressive. In saying this, you must be so precise and follow all instructions and timings perfectly. 

As booths are automated, they can't touch up or apply additional coverage sprays to focus areas. They also can not go back or repeat a coverage area unless stopped and re-started

The consistency of the spray in the booth, should be very fine and smooth, as these machines are usually custom and fixed in one spot, they have the ability to have a high strength compressor to blow air out. 

Spray Tan booths rely heavily on you, the client, following instructions and unfortunately all pressure is on you to get it right.
