Our Story

We are extremely proud to say that we are Australian-made and owned, vegan and cruelty-free. Founded by Madelaine Friedrich.

Proudly female-founded and run, Madi started spray tanning in high school at sixteen as a hobby and started working on Tanzola while working a full-time corporate job. In 2023, she decided to follow her dreams and began working on Tanzola full-time.

The company is 100% bootstrapped and funded by Madi.

Tanzola began as a service-only business as a way to offer clients a luxury tanning experience in the comfort of their own home. What began with just Madi has now grown in a team of 15 people and counting! Madi believes in empowering body confidence, providing clean and attainable tanning offerings and creating a salon-like experience in the comfort of your own home. Glow with Tanzola The secret glow behind the Morning Show’s Karl Stefanovic and the Block Winner’s 2021 Mitch & Mark. With 11 years of experience in tanning, Madelaine wanted to create a formula that’s affordable but premium quality. She wanted to develop professional solutions that offer a unique color blend and base and that one that would compliment a wide range of skin types. A must was ensuring that the solutions are high quality and affordable and cruelty-free!
